Lumber Empire Machines and Wood Processing Guide
Last updated:
Lumber Empire machines turn logs into processed wood and furniture. Use this guide to identify each facility, run the basic machines, and choose your next production connection.
The Debarker removes bark, the Sawmill cuts wood into planks, the furnace bakes planks, and the Bundler produces wood bundles. The Workshop and its upgrades make furniture. Feed the Debarker at its yellow LOGS IN area; its $30,000 Turbo upgrade doubles its processing speed.
Processing Machines and Furniture Facilities
The Debarker, Sawmill, furnace, and Bundler handle wood processing. The Workshop starts with chairs and can be upgraded for tables and beds.
Bundler II and Workshop II can connect to an extended Truck Conveyor. Workshop III is on the Third Floor, with a separate Conveyor purchase point beside it priced at $120,000,000. For product sources and sale values, see wood and furniture.
Feed the Debarker and Collect Debarked Wood
- Unlock the Debarker and carry a log to it.
- Walk into the yellow LOGS IN area to put the log onto the conveyor.
- Wait for the machine to process it, then collect the light-colored debarked wood at the output end.
- Carry the wood to the truck's SELL area if you want to sell it immediately.
Make Planks, Bake Them, and Produce Bundles
Build the Sawmill and feed it wood to make planks. You can collect the output or send it onward. Buying the conveyor between processing machines feeds the Sawmill directly and reduces manual hauling.
The furnace bakes planks, making them darker and more valuable. In an early-game example, a plank worth $40 before baking is worth $90 afterward. The Bundler produces wood bundles that can travel along the conveyor.
Speed Up the Debarker with Turbo
Buy Debarker Turbo at its upgrade point for $30,000 to double the Debarker's processing speed. It is a useful next purchase when logs reach the Debarker consistently and processed wood can leave, but the machine is holding up the line.
Golden Machines is a separate paid upgrade that permanently makes all machines work at three times speed. See the gamepasses guide for its purchase options and other paid upgrades.
Expand into Furniture and Upper-Floor Production
Your first rebirth unlocks the Workshop purchase. Its initial product is chairs; the Tables and Beds upgrades open further furniture production. The Workshop needs an input connection and a delivery route to send finished furniture to trucks. Follow the furniture production guide for the construction and connection steps.
After building an upper floor, use its BUY points to add facilities and conveyors. Extend the Truck Conveyor to Bundler II or Workshop II for delivery; at Bundler II, set OUTPUT to TRUCK. Workshop III is on the Third Floor. See upper-floor construction for floor unlocks and building, and automation for output controls and keeping the line moving.
