Lumber Empire Trees: Log Yields, Luck and Regrowth

Compare the four Lumber Empire tree types and choose upgrades that keep your forest supplying logs.

Tree, Big Tree, Golden Tree and Rainbow Tree yield 2, 3, 5 and 8 logs per tree, respectively. Upgrade Tree Luck to increase the chance of higher-yield trees. Rainbow Tree has a 1% chance at 100% luck, 3% at 300% and 4% at 400%. Tree Regrowth can reach 10 seconds at maximum, while More Forest adds trees to chop.

Tree Types, Log Yields and Spawn Chances

Rainbow Trees yield the most logs per tree, followed by Golden Trees. The chances below apply at the Tree Luck levels shown; higher luck makes Big, Golden and Rainbow Trees more common.

Get Golden and Rainbow Trees with Tree Luck

Golden and Rainbow Trees can spawn naturally in the forest. Open the TREE LUCK panel and buy Tree Luck upgrades to increase their chances. The first upgrade raises luck from 100% to 150% for $200; the maximum is 450%.

For example, Golden Tree chance rises from 4% at 100% luck to 16% at 400%, while Rainbow Tree chance rises from 1% to 4%. Higher luck improves the mix of trees, but you still need to chop them to collect their logs.

Reduce Regrowth Time or Expand the Forest

Choose the upgrade that addresses the reason your supply is short:

  • More Forest: Buy the $120 expansion at a More Forest purchase point to add more trees to the forest. This is a useful early choice when there are too few trees available to chop.
  • Tree Regrowth: Buy this upgrade at the TREE LUCK panel when trees are being chopped faster than they regrow. The upgrade from 25 to 22 seconds costs $10,000; the upgrade from 16 to 13 seconds costs $15 million. At maximum, regrowth takes 10 seconds.

If trees are available but logs are not reaching the factory fast enough, consider hiring or upgrading workers instead.

Haunted Logs and Third-Floor Rainbow Wood

A natural Rainbow Tree is a forest spawn that yields eight logs. Rainbow Wood is associated with Third Floor production and has a 5× sale multiplier.
