Lumber Empire Employee Money Rankings and Upgrade Targets
Last updated:
A higher employee money multiplier can improve your workforce's bonus automatically. Compare the Index multipliers first, then choose an employee whose bonus beats your current best.
Secret leads the 12-slot Index at ×10 money. Rainbow Logger is a Legendary ×3 target from Employee Crates, while Hacker's ×5 direct offer costs 320 Robux. Compare multipliers rather than rarity: Legendary ×3 beats Admin ×2.5. A new employee improves this bonus only when its multiplier exceeds your best owned employee's.
Acquisition picks for improving your best employee's money multiplier through reward crates or a direct purchase.

Acquisition Picks for Your Next Upgrade
- Reward-crate target: Rainbow Logger. Its ×3 bonus makes it a useful goal while earning Employee Crates through progression, provided your current best is below ×3.
- Direct-purchase target: Hacker. Its ×5 shop offer is the stronger of these two money bonuses. Choose this route when you want to buy a specific upgrade and your current best is below ×5.
If you already own Rainbow Logger as your best employee, Hacker raises the employee multiplier from ×3 to ×5. If your best is already ×5 or higher, neither target increases this bonus.

Compare Against Your Best Owned Employee
All hired workers automatically use your best owned employee. When you collect a better one, you do not need to assign it to each worker individually.
Use the actual multiplier to judge an upgrade. Legendary Rainbow Logger at ×3 is better for money than an Admin entry at ×2.5, even though the rarity labels might suggest a different order. Entries within Common, Uncommon, Rare and Admin also have different multipliers.
Employee selection applies across your hired workforce; hiring more workers and upgrading their abilities are separate choices covered in the worker hiring and upgrades guide.
Choose Reward Crates or a Direct Hacker Purchase
Use train and rebirth rewards for the Employee Crate route. These crates award a random employee, with Rainbow Logger among the possible rewards. This is the route to pursue when you want to work toward that upgrade through gameplay rewards.
For Hacker specifically, favor the direct offer over a random roll. The Exclusive Shop lists Hacker Employee at 320 Robux, with a stock counter on the offer. An Admin Crate instead gives a 5% chance of Hacker per opening. Buying the employee directly avoids that random selection when the offer is available.
See the crate guide for reward sources, opening instructions, Admin Crate pack prices and the full reward odds.
